Benelli had the Due 765 on display at this years CIMA China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition in Chongqing, China. It appears to be production ready and offer an inline 2 cylinder alternative to the Honda Hornet, Monster 696 and Kawasaki Z750.
A few years back Benelli was bought by a Chinese company Qianjiang World who has been putting new money into the company and developing new models. The Due 765 will most likely be a 2010 model.
Benelli had their new models and prototypes on display this week at the EICMA show in Milan Italy. Last year the Chinese company Qianjiang purchased Benelli. The extra cash flow looks like it is being put to good use based on these prototype motorcross bike and naked sport bike. I found these photos at MotorBox.com.
The 450cc motorcross bike has the most beautifully detailed engine I have ever seen on any bike much less one made for the dirt.
The 756cc 2 cylinder Due uses thier 1130 cc tripple minus 1 cylinder. It is a little to busy for my taste. Going with a solid paint job would help a lot. I look forward to seeing these machines in action.
